Disclaimer

The purpose of this homepage is to make my scientific work available to the interested public. I consider the quick and uncomplicated availability of information to be the most important cultural project of the present. My homepage contributes to this project.

In order to introduce myself to a visitor of the homepage, I provide the pages concerning resume and community. The inevitable anonymity in an internet with many billions of users allows and requires to reveal a few but important personal data without getting into the suspicion of improper egotism.

The homepage is made by myself as HTML5 webpage. It has not the intention to win a beauty contest. I am not a professional in this field. The HTML and javascript code is visible and any helpful comments are welcome.

Publications

The scientific information is provided on the page named Publications. This page contains a list of all publications. I have tried to include the currently possible conveniences in the use of such a list. By this I mean different ways of filtering the contents of the list.

The publications are provided with several tags, according to which the display can be filtered. This concerns the style of text (mathematical, applied, essay), the aim of the text (research, explanatory, teaching), the subject of the text (statistics, probability, data science), as well as some keywords.

For the type of publication, I distinguish between article (in a scientific journal), book (produced by a publisher), inBook (article in proceedings or collections), scientific talk (presentation sheets), university lecture (for students), and unpublished.

Moreover, breadcrumbs of publications titles can be used as filter condition.

For each publication first the bibliographic data as well as type of publication and tags are displayed. The display field can be opened by clicking on the black triangle to show further information. At the moment this might be an abstract of the publication and a link to a preprint. I provide preprints in pdf format for viewing.
